You can reach Borkum island by…
…ferry (Reederei Aktien-Gesellschaft „EMS“ )…mit den Fähren der Reederei Aktien-Gesellschaft “EMS” from Emden (D) or Eemshaven (NL), from Emden auch alternatively with a high speed catamaran. Both ports are easily accessible by car, parking spaces can be rented on site for a fee. The Deutsche Bahn runs to the Emden outer harbor, and since March 2018 the terminal in Eemshaven has also been well connected to the railway network with the Arriva Nederlands Arriva Nederlands train.
For your return please note that ferry departure times always refer to departure from our island train station in the island centre. The ferries depart from about 25 min later.
There is no leaf between us and the beach
Our hotel is just a few minutes’ walk away from the island train station in an exposed prime location first row on the upper beach promenade with access to the main bathing beach and various sights of Borkum, such as the new lighthouse or the town center with shops and cafes.
